Tubifast Two Way Stretch Tubular Bandage

Tubifast Two Way Stretch Tubular Bandage is a soft, lightweight tubular bandage designed to provide comfortable, gentle support and secure dressings in place. Its unique two-way stretch construction allows it to conform closely to the contours of the body while maintaining flexibility and freedom of movement.

Ideal for use beneath compression garments or to hold dressings, creams, and other topical treatments securely against the skin, Tubifast offers a convenient alternative to traditional bandaging methods. The breathable, skin-friendly fabric is designed for comfortable wear and can be easily cut to the required length without fraying.

Key Features:

  • Two-way stretch for a comfortable, secure fit
  • Conforms easily to body contours
  • Helps hold dressings and topical treatments in place
  • Soft and breathable for comfortable wear
  • Easy to cut to the required length
  • Suitable for use on different areas of the body
  • Available in various sizes to accommodate different applications

Directions for use:

  • Apply a Tubifast Tubular Bandage by choosing the correct color-coded width for the body part, cutting it to the required length, and gently stretching it over the dressing without applying tight compression.
  • Adjust for comfort: Smooth out any twists or creases. Because Tubifast has a self-retaining construction, you do not need any pins, tapes, or adhesives. Do not apply it under high tension.
  • Pull the bandage over the joint dressing. You can twist the bandage slightly and fold it back over the area if a double layer is needed for extra security.
  • Check circulation: Ensure the bandage does not feel too tight or restrict blood flow.
  • Discontinue use if you notice discomfort or signs of poor circulation.

Precautions: Discard the bandage if it gets soiled with bodily fluids. Keep away from open flames, especially when using paraffin-based products

FAQs:

What is Tubifast used for?
Dressing retention: Holds primary wound dressings securely without tapes, pins, or clips, protecting fragile or irritated skin. Provides a protective layer beneath orthopaedic casts.
How do I choose the correct size?
Tubifast comes in color-coded widths determined by circumference.
Do I need pins or tape to secure it?
No, Tubifast features a self-retaining tubular construction that stays in place on its own while allowing complete freedom of movement.
Can I wash and reuse Tubifast?
Yes, the bandage is washable and reusable. Wash it gently by hand or on a low cycle with mild soap and cool water, then let it air-dry completely.
Is it breathable?
Yes, the light, open-weave rayon fabric and fine elastane threads promote air circulation over the skin, which helps prevent moisture build-up and skin maceration.
